Step one Get ready

Once you know you're moving get ready. De clutter where possible and check what's hiding in your loft and at the bottom of the garden! There's no point in moving things you don't really need and now is the time for that sort out.

Step two Get a quotation

Once you're ready, get your moving quotes. We suggest you get two or three for a balance on costs and the services on offer. Ask them to visit you at home, ask them to quote for the same thing and get the quotes in writing. Check for any additional charges and take the time to choose the company that's right for you.

Step three Choose your removal company

Remember it's not just about price. Make sure you're happy with what your company is offering and that they have liability cover for your belongings and home whilst working for you. After all it's your most valuable possessions that are being moved. At Aspen Movers we are available to help every step of the way. We will confirm arrangements in writing and won't ask for payment until the day of the move.

Step four Packing up

If you're packing yourself, our quotation includes the provision of boxes and paper for you to get everything ready for the big day. Get your boxes and start early, there's always more then you think! Don't worry - we'll have portable wardrobes for your hanging clothes and we always help with the last bits and pieces. If you're having the packing done for you it makes sense to have a few boxes for personal items. Now is the time to let everyone know you're moving.

Step five Removal day

On moving day we'll arrive on time, we'll cover your carpets then pack and move a room at a time. You'll have nice people who know what they are doing, we'll even remind you to read the metres! On delivery each room will be set up to your instruction, we'll reassemble things we've taken apart and stack the boxes neatly ready for you to unpack. We'll hang your clothes back into the wardrobes and find all the essential items for your first night.

Step six Post move

Once your boxes are unpacked we'll arrange a convenient time for their collection. If you're close by we won't mind calling more then once and if you let us know we'll allow time to reposition any larger pieces of furniture.
